Privacy Policy

GoActiveTrack is built around a simple idea: your tracking data is yours. This page explains what the app collects, what it doesn't, and what happens to anything that touches our systems.
Short version
No accounts. No servers. No data brokers.
- We do not have user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- We do not run any servers that hold your tracker data.
- Your device list, Garmin IDs, and passwords stay on your phone or iPad.
- Apple's standard crash reporting (anonymous) is enabled so we can fix bugs.
- Subscription billing is handled entirely by Apple.
How it works
What the app actually does
When you add a device, the app stores its name, your Garmin ID, the device IMEI, and (optionally) the password for a private feed. These are saved locally on your phone or iPad. They are not transmitted anywhere except directly to Garmin when fetching your latest location.
Every time the app refreshes, it talks directly to Garmin's servers from your device. The response with your locations is parsed locally and saved in the app. Nothing passes through our servers — because we don't have any.

External services
Third-party services
The app communicates with three external systems:
- Garmin — for fetching your inReach location data. Garmin's privacy statement
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit) — for subscription billing. Apple's privacy policy
- Apple Maps (MapKit) — for rendering the map.
Security
How your data is protected
Tracker passwords are stored on your device. All network requests use HTTPS. We have no way to access your data because it never leaves your phone or your direct connection to Garmin.

GoActiveTrack is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Updates
Changes to this policy
If this policy meaningfully changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and surface a notice in the next app version if the change affects what data the app collects.
